National ADSL outage notification

Grapevine would like to advise its customers that its National ADSL service experienced an outage from Saturday 6/03/2010 (5PM). This service has now  been restored. The outage was a result of the severe flooding which occurred in Melbourne which impacted one of the data centres.

Customers experiencing a loss of services may need to reboot their equipment and any other network equipment, such as routers, to restore services.

Grapevine broadband plans on the TransACT network

We’d like to remind you about our new and exciting Grapevine broadband plans on the TransACT network*.  There are two ranges of plans – shaped and usage – both with different features to suit your needs

1. Shaped plans

Shaped plans are great for families. If you like using the internet, but want flexibility and peace of mind in knowing you can download as much as you like without ever paying overruns, then shaped plans are for you.

Shaped plans mean that if you ever reach your monthly download quota for a data type – peak or off-peak – that data type’s speed will be slowed to 72kbps for the remainder of the Download Measurement Period and you will not be charged any extra.

Grapevine provides usage alerts via email to enable you to monitor your download usage to avoid having your speed slowed.

With plans starting from a low $17.95 per month and free plan upgrades, why not take another look at Grapevine’s shaped plans and upgrade from your current plan to a new plan?

2. Usage plans

Usage plans suit people that like larger download allowances, greater off-peak download periods (12.00am to 12.00pm) and are happy to use email usage alerts to monitor overruns.

Usage plans mean that if you reach your monthly peak download quota, your speed will not be slowed, but you pay for additional downloads until you exceed your maximum capped amount. After you have exceeded your maximum capped amount of peak downloads your speed is slowed to 72kbps.

Plans start from $9.95 per month. This plan includes overruns charged at 10c/Mb, with a capped monthly spend of $59.95.

If you would like to talk to us about the benefits of switching to one of our new plans on the TransACT network or would like more information about how your current plan compares to the new plans, then simply call us on 13 35 00 and select option 1.

Yours sincerely
